BOSS Controllerless Pump
Features
- Controllerless
- Mechanically operated
- Easily Changed Loading Configurations (Top, or Bottom)
- Body is Constructed of Stainless Steel

Typical Applications
- Total Fluids
- Dissolved Phase
- LNAPL and DNAPL
- Leachate

Performance
The BOSS is a mechanically operated, controllerless, air lift pump used in 4 in. (1 0.2cm) diameter and larger wells. It isdesigned to transfer fluids to the surface from depths of up to 200 ft (61 m). The pump is available in top or bottom loading configurations, allowing it to be used for pumping total fluids, dissolved phase, DNAPL and leachate. The BOSS has a pumping capacity of up to 13 gpm (49.2 L/min).

Operation
The BOSS Pump uses an internal float that responds to the fluid level within the pump body, automatically cycling the pump. As the pump fills with fluid, the float moves to the upper position activating the mechanical arm which opens the air inlet valve. The air enters the pump chamber, simultaneously pressurizing the vessel and closing the upper and lower fluid inlet check valves. The air pressure pushes the fluid through the 3/4 inch (19 mm) discharge line to the surface. As the fluid is emptied from the vessel, the float returns to the lower limit position simultaneously closing the air inlet and opening the air exhaust valve. The volume of air used to move the fluid is then exhausted either in the well or through the well clincher at the surface. This cycle is automatically repeated depending on the recharge rate of the fluid being pumped.

Redi-Flo Series
Groundwater Pumps
The Grundfos Redi-Flo4® Variable Performance Groundwater Pumps are submersibles constructed of virgin Teflon® and stainless steel to handle the rigors of contaminated groundwater monitoring and continuous operation in remediation applications. The Redi-Flo4® Variable Performance Groundwater Pumps are designed to operate in 4 inch and larger wells to depths of 524 feet. The Redi-Flo4® pumps have a built-in check valve to prevent back-flow in the well after the pump is shut down. A user-friendly cable guard aids in the ease of variable length motor lead installation.
