A Fortune 500 industrial manufacturer headquartered in Wisconsin maintains an ongoing environmental remediation program that includes multiple groundwater extraction and treatment systems. These GETS systems require continuous operations, regular maintenance, periodic upgrades, and system expansion as the remediation program evolves over time.

Managing a long-term remediation program of this scale presents significant logistical and technical challenges. The treatment systems include groundwater extraction wells, oil-water separators, chemical treatment processes, PLC control systems, and discharge compliance monitoring.

The client needed a trusted equipment and services partner capable of handling the full spectrum of remediation support — from routine O&M tasks like pump testing and chemical treatment to major capital projects such as new control panel design and fabrication.

Fliteway serves as a comprehensive remediation equipment and services provider for the GETS program, delivering a wide range of project scopes under the ongoing partnership. Over the course of the program, Fliteway has completed more than 24 individual projects, each tailored to the specific needs of the moment.

Routine operations and maintenance services include groundwater extraction system monitoring, extraction well pump testing and rehabilitation, oil-water separator maintenance, chemical treatment system operation, and compliance sampling and reporting.

Beyond routine O&M, Fliteway has provided significant capital improvement projects. These include the design and fabrication of new PLC-based control panels to replace aging relay-logic controls, variable frequency drive (VFD) system installations, electrical distribution upgrades, and SCADA monitoring integration.

As the remediation program has expanded, Fliteway has designed and built additional extraction well control panels to bring new wells online.

Equipment rental has also been an important component of the program, with Fliteway providing temporary pumping equipment, treatment components, and monitoring instruments.
