Structural Steel Frame
Hot-dip galvanized or painted structural steel framing engineered for site-specific wind, snow, and seismic loads per IBC requirements.
Products
Fliteway designs and manufactures custom pre-fabricated buildings for housing environmental remediation equipment. Our buildings are fully outfitted with structural steel framing, insulated panels, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and equipment mounting — delivered to your site ready for equipment installation and commissioning.
Many environmental remediation projects require a permanent or semi-permanent building to house treatment equipment. Unlike general-purpose prefab structures, Fliteway buildings are designed from the inside out — starting with the equipment layout and process requirements, then engineering the building envelope around them.
This approach ensures proper equipment clearances for maintenance access, adequate ventilation for heat-generating equipment, correct floor drainage and secondary containment, properly sized electrical service and panel locations, and code-compliant egress and personnel safety features. The result is a building that functions as an integral part of the treatment system, not just a weather cover.
Our buildings are fabricated in modular sections at our Cudahy, Wisconsin facility, transported to the project site, and assembled on a prepared foundation. This approach minimizes on-site construction time and delivers the quality control advantages of shop fabrication.
Hot-dip galvanized or painted structural steel framing engineered for site-specific wind, snow, and seismic loads per IBC requirements.
3" or 4" insulated metal panel walls and roof for thermal performance, weather resistance, and chemical resistance. Multiple color and finish options.
Unit heaters, exhaust fans, ventilation louvers, and air conditioning sized for the equipment heat load and ambient conditions. Freeze protection for cold climates.
Complete interior electrical including lighting, receptacles, disconnect switches, panel boards, and conduit. Designed to NEC with hazardous area ratings where required.
Steel plate flooring, concrete-filled steel pans, or fiberglass grating. Secondary containment and floor drains routed to the treatment system.
Personnel doors, equipment access doors (roll-up or double-swing), emergency lighting, exit signs, fire extinguishers, and eyewash stations.
